History
In continuing the Clinic’s dedicated history to providing empowering and educative care to women, WAHT was launched to specifically address the health care needs in the Western Addition, a predominately African-American neighborhood in San Francisco.
WAHT was established and functions in the belief that addressing health inequities in communities requires a multi-faceted approach that incorporates resource and service awareness and delivery in conjunction with education, mentorship, and leadership training.
WAHT is focused on increasing career opportunities for women of color in the health professions while increasing the amount of outreach and services the Clinic provides to Western Addition residents.
