Our Story
The Women’s Community Clinic has always run on the strength, commitment, and passion of our volunteers.
The Clinic carries on the long tradition of providing free health care for women, by women, while designing innovative ways to meet the needs of our clients.
Since opening in 1999, with a shoestring budget and handful of volunteers, we have grown to an annual budget of $1.5 million, 17 staff members, and over 100 volunteer health workers and clinicians.
Despite our growth, we continue to provide each woman with the information and support she needs to make decisions about her own health — now to more than 3,500 women every year. And we still do it all for free.
The Women’s Community Clinic is a project of the Tides Center.
