Barbara is a global advertising and branding expert with client and agency-side experience across technology, consumer package goods, and entertainment. She developed the global brand strategy, advertising and identity creation for Hyperion software and Polycom. Barbara spent four years at McCann Erickson where she was responsible for the Microsoft advertising relationship in 29 countries. She managed the advertising strategy, creative development and execution for five Microsoft business groups: Windows, Office, Developer, Server & Tools, and Dynamics. Barbara also worked at webvan.com as the Director of Advertising, Promotions and Sponsorships. She has also worked at Sun Microsystems, Saatchi & Saatchi (running the HP global account), and Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. Barbara has B.A. degrees in Marketing and Communications.
Rhea Bailey, MPH

Rhea has worked as an advocate of the underserved since she began her career in public health 13 years ago. Much of that time has been spent conducting policy analysis, research, and program development on behalf of women and children. In undergrad, she worked at the school health center conducting HIV testing and sex education. She then went on to volunteer at Planned Parenthood as a sexual health educator at inner-city Los Angeles high schools. In graduate school, Rhea focused more attention on her interest in women’s heath, particularly domestic violence prevention. In graduate school is also when she began to get more involved in children’s health. As Research Associate with the UCLA Center for Healthier Children, Families and Communities, Rhea was one of the first to examine the feasibility of using Proposition 10 funds to improve the lives of children aged 0-5 in California. Rhea went on to continue her work on behalf of young children while working as Program Manager of the Los Angeles Access to Health Coverage Coalition. Rhea also sat on the advisory committee for the Healthy Kids program- a program that now provides health coverage to children 0-18 years of age living in Los Angeles whose families earn up to 300% of federal poverty level. Currently, Rhea works for the City of San Francisco Department of Public Health. She coordinates mental health services for low-income children aged 0-5 who are being cared for in child care settings or who are in homeless and domestic violence shelters. Rhea received her B.S. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from the University of Southern California (1999), as well as a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles (2001). She also completed a fellowship with the California State Senate working as a Legislative Aide in the Office of Senator Sheila Kuehl.
Maureen Boland, MPH

Maureen currently works as the Research and Evaluation Manager and Senior Project Manager at Better World Advertising, a social marketing firm in San Francisco which focuses on public health issues including HIV prevention and STD education. At Better World Advertising, Maureen oversees management and evaluation of public health advertising campaigns. In the past, she worked on a variety of HIV prevention projects including a “prevention with positives” intervention in North Carolina and on an HIV awareness campaign directed at young men of color. She also has a strong interest in women’s reproductive health issues and served as a student counselor and outreach educator for human sexuality while pursuing her graduate degree in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A San Francisco Native, Maureen previously worked for the Haight-Ashbury clinic as an HIV/Hepatitis C test counselor. While earning her BA, Maureen helped found the first gender issues magazine at Colgate University. She completed her Masters in Public Health from the University North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Kim Dempsey

Kim has spent her career serving in the public and non-profit sectors. She is currently a Vice-President/Business Development Officer at NCB Capital Impact, a national, non-profit, community development lending organization. At NCB Capital Impact, Kim serves as the organization’s health care market leader, responsible for designing and implementing the strategic plan for lending to this sector as well as leading all marketing and outreach efforts. In her role as Business Development Officer, Kim works with community health centers in the western half of the U.S. to develop appropriately structured loans that meet their financing needs. NCB Capital Impact has been providing flexible financing to community-based healthcare organizations for 25 years. Prior to joining NCB Capital Impact in 2003, Kim was a Research Associate at the Urban Institute focused on the evaluation of federally-funded community development initiatives. Previously, Kim has worked in health education as the student coordinator of the UCSC HIV Prevention Program and as a volunteer at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Kim earned her Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and her B.A. in Community Studies and Sociology from UC Santa Cruz.
Natalie Diggins

Natalie contributes more than 15 years experience as an executive directing operations in high-tech, rapid growth companies. She co-founded and was Vice President of Operations for New Edge Networks, a nation-wide telecommunications backbone network provider, helping raise more than $500M in financing; she served as Vice President of Global Operations for mBlox, the world's largest mobile transaction network, running worldwide operations; and she was Vice President for GST Data Services, a publicly traded telecommunications company. Natalie is the former President of the Central Coast Software and Technology Association and has served on the board of Planned Parenthood. Natalie currently applies her passion for reading as the Executive Director of Mission Learning Center, an organization which champions childhood literacy as a vehicle for providing children with the means to attain a higher quality of life. She serves on the boards of the Neighborhood Parks Council and Centro del Pueblo, which furthers her belief in creating healthy communities. When not working, you can find Natalie reading in one of San Francisco’s parks.
Kyra Jablonsky

Kyra is Associate Public Relations Director for San Francisco Ballet, where she has worked in the PR department for over nine years. Prior to San Francisco Ballet, Kyra was an account executive in the San Francisco office of public-relations firm Porter Novelli, where she worked with a variety of technology and consumer clients including Hewlett-Packard and PowerBar. In addition, she worked in the public relations division of EvansGroup in San Francisco (which has since been acquired by Publicis). Kyra began her career in the public affairs office of the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and while in college, held internships on Capitol Hill and in the Presidential press office of the Office of the First Lady. Kyra graduated with B.A. degrees in English and Political Science. She has always enjoyed volunteer work.

Julie is currently the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of San Francisco. She has several years of experience in the field of higher education and student development. In her current role Julie coordinates and oversees the university's crisis management team and violence prevention efforts. Julie has substantial experience with conflict resolution, problem solving and project development. Previously Julie served as the chair of the President's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women and advised the University's Women's Resource Center. Julie serves as a co-educator in the Martin Baro Scholars Community. The program through a comprehensive curriculum, examines issues of citizenship, social justice, and diversity. Julie served as the chair of the Hysteria 2006 & 2008 planning committee. Julie holds a BA in Anthropology and Sociology with a concentration in Women's Studies from the College of the Holy Cross and a M.Ed. from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Carrie is the Chief Operating Officer of Mills-Peninsula Health System, a Sutter Health Affiliate, located in Burlingame, California. As Chief Operating Officer, Carrie is responsible for leadership, direction, administration and oversight of operations, establishing strategic objectives, realization of high quality, economical healthcare services, planning and overseeing all financial functions to ensure long-term fiscal stewardship. Previously, she worked with California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco for eight years, becoming the Vice President of Operations Specialty Services and Chief Administrator Officer in 2008. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration and a Master’s degree in Health Administration (MHA). She is a Diplomat in the American College of Health Care Executives serving on the Early Careerist National Committee and California Regents Advisory Council. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, volunteering and competes as a marathon runner.

She obtained her J.D. degree from the University of San Francisco, School of Law in 1995 and was admitted to the California bar that same year. She has practiced as an senior associate with the health law firm of Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, Inc., and as an associate in the health law department of Hanson, Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos & Rudy, LLP in San Francisco. As an appointee of Governor Gray Davis, Elizabeth served as Chief of the California Department of Health Services, Office of Women’s Health from May 2001-2003. She was a member of the Department’s executive staff and worked on a variety of women’s health and health workforce development policy and legislative issues. From 1995-97, Elizabeth served as the Health Policy Director and interim Director of the California Primary Care Association, a statewide trade association for licensed primary care clinics. She has served as legal counsel to this organization since 1998. Elizabeth is also a licensed registered nurse and was nationally certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her B.S.N. in 1977 from the University of Michigan, School of Nursing and her M.S.N. from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Nursing in 1982.

She currently serves as director of the Bayview Hunters Point Community Fund which provides grants and capacity building to youth development programs in San Francisco's under-served Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood. Sai's past experience includes work on a range of issues, including domestic violence, affordable housing, youth organizing, and social justice philanthropy. Shay is the Director of Planning & Strategic Development for Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. SFMH is a member of Catholic Healthcare West and a small community hospital between San Francisco’s Tenderloin and Nob Hill neighborhoods. In this role, Shay works closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and partners to identify new services and programs that will aide SFMH in stewarding to the future needs of its patient population and the broader community. Prior to joining Catholic Healthcare West in 2005, she worked with various hospitals and healthcare facilities in Minneapolis on projects related to patient safety, facility design, team building, and performance improvement. She received a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management and a Bachelors degree in Healthcare Management from Florida A & M University. Locally, Shay is an active volunteer with Community United Against Violence and is committed to equal rights for the LGBTQQI community. Diana, nurse practitioner, educator and researcher, is a professor emerita at the University of California-San Francisco School of Nursing and formerly the Director of the Women's Primary Care Program, the first women’s health training program in California. Until 2001, she was co-Director of the first Center for Collaborative Primary Care to advance inter-professional collaboration and innovation related to primary care education, practice and research at UCSF. In addition to over 30 years experience in education, clinical practice and research, Diana has participated in professional and community leadership positions nationally as well as in San Francisco. Locally, she was a member of the first Women’s Health Advisory Committee to the San Francisco Department of Public Health, and nationally she has served on boards of the Institute of Medicine & National Academy of Sciences.

Prior to that, she worked at OpNet Community Ventures, a technology workforce development program for at risk and low income youth as their Program Director. Prior to that, she co-founded and served as the Vice President for Product Development of Squaretrade, Inc., a company that provides online dispute resolution services to eBay and other companies. She also worked on a range of business technology projects as a Senior Associate at McKinsey & Co. Lalitha has an MBA from Harvard and her Bachelors degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Cambridge University.
