Sarah began volunteering as a Meal Coordinator for Ladies’ Night in 2007. She is passionate about health and food justice and has worked with several community organizations to connect under-represented populations with high quality food. Sarah has a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she majored in Global Studies, Socio-economic and Political Processes with a focus on Human Rights. She is a Certified Nutrition Educator from Bauman College and plans to complete their Nutrition Consultant program next year. Sarah currently works at Project Open Hand as the Manager of Volunteer Services and sings in the band Blue Rabbit.
