The Western Addition Health Training (WAHT) Program is an innovative health careers training and community outreach program, with a special focus on underserved communities of color in the Western Addition neighborhood in San Francisco.
WAHT was established and functions in the belief that addressing health inequities in communities requires a multi-faceted approach that incorporates direct services delivery in conjunction with education, mentorship, and leadership training.
WAHT integrates the strengths of the Women’s Community Clinic and Western Addition community, to both train emerging health leaders and contribute to the elimination of health disparities for African American women and girls in San Francisco.
