Women’s Community Clinic now accepts Healthy San Francisco (HSF) for our primary care, women’s health, and mental health services!
Signing up for HSF at the Clinic
Healthy San Francisco (HSF) may be right for you if you permanently live in San Francisco, are 18 or older, are not eligible for full-scope Medi-Cal or Medicare, are not otherwise insured, and meet certain income eligibility criteria. HSF does not check your immigration status, employment status, or pre-existing medical conditions. For more information about eligibility, visit the HSF website, or contact our enrollment coordinator at (415) 820-7380 or email@example.com.
If you have Family PACT, but you meet the criteria mentioned above, you are also eligible for HSF!
If you’re interested in signing up for the program, our enrollment coordinator can help! We can register you for any HSF medical home, including Women’s Community Clinic.
Already have HSF?
If you are an existing HSF member and would like to switch to Women’s Community Clinic as your medical home, please call or email our enrollment coordinator at (415) 820-7380 or firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more about how or when you can switch.
Using HSF at the Clinic
You can use HSF for any services offered at the Clinic. Most services will come with a co-pay that is determined on the basis of your income. Please call us if you’d like to make an appointment and/or would like more information about how much to expect for the co-pay.
HSF can be used concurrently with Family PACT, which covers reproductive and gynecological health services at no cost for those who are eligible. If you come to Women’s Community Clinic for family planning care and also have or are eligible for FPACT, FPACT will cover your visit without a co-pay.
Please note that we can only see HSF clients who have chosen Women’s Community Clinic as their medical home. If you are an HSF member but we are not currently your medical home, please visit the HSF website or contact our enrollment coordinator to learn more about switching over to Women’s Community Clinic.
More Information About Healthy San Francisco
Healthy San Francisco (HSF) is a health access program that makes health care services affordable for San Francisco residents who have no health insurance.
HSF is for people who permanently live in San Francisco, are 18 or older, are not eligible for full-scope Medi-Cal or Medicare, are not otherwise insured, and make less than 500% of the Federal Poverty Level – about $5,000 per month for a single person.
HSF covers primary and specialty care, hospital visits, lab testing, emergency room services, as well as prescriptions. Every HSF member is assigned to a medical home, which will be their primary and first source of care. Many services, including those at your medical home, will involve a co-pay that depends on your income; HSF clients also pay an income-dependent quarterly membership fee.
Important things to note are that HSF is NOT insurance, so HSF members will not be exempt from the tax penalty for lack of coverage. HSF also does not cover any services outside of the city of San Francisco.
