Schedule: 24 hours per week, varied schedule

The Data Analyst plays a vital role in continuous quality improvement activities and projects, including data management and reporting, fostering a culture of quality, and moving the needle on clinical and operational outcomes. The Data Analyst provides expertise in data analysis and helps to strengthen the Clinic’s existing data infrastructure.



Data Extraction, Management, and Reporting

  • Utilize EHR database, other data sources and associated reporting tools to extract and compile data accurately and efficiently.
  • Create reports and graphs drawing from a variety of data sources including electronic health record, registry, practice management systems, Salesforce CRM, and Survey Monkey.
  • Develop and maintain systems and schedules for the collection, storage, and interpretation of organization-wide data.
  • Track and report on key performance and quality improvement measures
  • Regularly perform data validation.
  • Help develop new data collection systems to expand data program.

Data Presentation

  • Organize data and reports for compliance, quality improvement, and program development purposes.
  • Present and share data via multiple avenues (hard copy, e-communication, presentations) in ways that are understandable and accessible to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Coordinate and submit organizational data for funders and payor reports.

Quality Improvement

  • Collaborate with program, development, and administrative staff to monitor and evaluate quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain an inventory of reporting metrics and quality improvement measures associated with major funders and areas of practice.
  • Work in partnership with organizational and regional Quality Improvement champions and experts to monitor and improve client care.



  • Commitment to the mission and goals of the Women’s Community Clinic.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, information management, computer science or related field. Master’s in healthcare information or public health preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience in healthcare: health IT, quality improvement, database administration, or information management.
  • An interest in and commitment to community health care.



  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in interpreting and presenting data.
  • Working knowledge of database systems, internet-based data collection and analysis tools, MS Office. Working knowledge of Crystal Reports preferred.
  • Technical expertise in health information systems/EHR preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare quality improvement processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, problem-solver, and strategic thinker
  • Commitment to working in an environment offering the full-scope of pregnancy options counseling.
  • Willingness to be an ambassador on behalf of the Women’s Community Clinic understanding that all staff contribute towards tasks related to promoting and fundraising for the Clinic.


Salary and Benefits:

  • The Clinic provides a competitive total compensation package at the mid-range of the San Francisco nonprofit and healthcare labor markets.  The range for this position is $25-$26 per hour, depending on experience.

Typical physical demands:

  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
  • Requires sitting and typing for periods of up to 3 hours.
