Women’s Community Clinic Joins SF Board of Supervisors at Press Conference to Defend Women’s Right to Health Care

January 25, 2017

On January 24, the female majority of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors held a press conference to announce that they would be introducing a resolution later that same day to protect reproductive freedom and access to health care for San Francisco’s cisgender and transgender women and girls.

“This resolution is the Board of Supervisors proactively saying that they’re going to fight to continue to support access to contraception, access to health care, to make sure that no matter what happens, the city of San Francisco is standing firm for women and girls.”

Both at the Press Conference and at the Board of Supervisors meeting that afternoon, the BOS specifically honored Women’s Community Clinic and Planned Parenthood Northern California for their work to provide San Francisco’s women and girls with access to affordable, judgment-free health services. Women’s Community Clinic is proud to stand with Planned Parenthood, and with San Francisco, to make sure women always have a trusted place to go for care, regardless of their income, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, or religion!
